As a child raised within a school for the performing arts in Boston, MA, Scooter found his comfort and home in music. It was there he began writing songs and performing his creations for any and everyone.

After 15 years of playing in bands and doing session work in the New England area, Scooter moved to Los Angeles. As an introduction to the industry and as a networking opportunity, he worked as a Set Assistant in the Assistant Director's department on some of the world's biggest movies and television shows. Scooter believes the experiences he's had on such films as Mystic River, Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End, Crank, Mission Impossible III, Dreamgirls, and television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Numb3rs, and Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, truly helped to hone his scoring skills.

“When I watch the footage playing before me, as I score, I know what it took to get that image up on to the screen. I lived the hours and know the technical aspects of the day- to- day grind to get things just right.” It's this insight, Scooter feels, that has rounded out his film scoring skills and enhanced his overall movie appreciation. “I'm not just slapping music over some images. It's my job to breathe life into the musical ideas the director and producers have had swirling around inside their imagination, from pre-production, to production, to editing, and to the spotting session. The goal, for me, is simple: To accompany the project seamlessly, as if the music was always there to begin with.”
